Program Description

Event Details

Environmental Analyst David Jakim and Dr. Hildur Palsdottir from ReWild Long Island join us to discuss how planting natives supports biodiversity and promotes healthy ecosystems. Rewilding is essential to public health, they'll explain why.

This is your chance to learn what rewilding is all about....and become part of Long Island's ReWild movement.

This presentation will accentuate one of the most important reasons for rewilding, including "the elephant in the room,"...or rather the HIPPO in the room.

Learn all about what rewilding means, what the acronym HIPPO stands for, and so much more.....including awesome examples of rewilding projects replacing sterile monocultures of lawns with magnificent meadows and luscious raingardens.

You will receive a link in the reminder email to attend the program.
